The State of Florida presently requires PIP on all personal auto policies and most business auto policies. Commonly referred to as “no-fault” because it does not require a party to be at fault to trigger coverage. PIP coverage pays for the injury of occupants of an insured vehicle. This coverage is primary and is required to be exhausted before additional coverages are triggered.
The basic coverage limitation is capped at $10,000 but there are various options, deductibles and coverage extensions available.
