“Changing homeowners insurance after being with the same company for 17 years can be frightening. Harris Insurance was wonderful, attentive to our concerns, and got us better coverage for less money! We should have made the switch years sooner!”

New Port Richey, FL
Nestled in the Northwestern part of the Tampa-St. Petersburg-Clearwater Metropolitan Area, New Port Richey is a flourishing area with a fun history and a great sense of local public pride. Founded in 1924, at one time New Port Richey was set to be the home of some of the most famous actors and athletes of the day. Some of the famous residents included silent film star Thomas Meighan and professional golfer Gene Sarazen, while songwriter Irving Berlin, bandleader Paul Whiteman, and actor/comedian Ed Wynn all invested in property in the area. However, just like the rest of the country, the Great Depression took its toll on the community killing the dreams of making it a Hollywood East.
The town would remain fairly stagnant until the 1960s when the population began to boom. Today, the city features a variety of restaurants, retail stores, and beautiful natural geography. Not to mention the absolutely stunning Cavalaire Square, which is home to arts and cultural performances and named after Cavalaire-su-Mer on the French Riviera, a sister city to New Port Richey. The city prides itself on having all of the amenities that you can find in any large city, but with that small town feel that most people crave.
